Ashridge Winter Tea Towel

£1499

The Bridgewater Monument is a famous landmark located in Ashridge Estate, near the village of Aldbury in Hertfordshire, England. The monument is a 108-foot (33-metre) tall tower, built in 1832 in honor of the Third Duke of Bridgewater, who was instrumental in developing the canal system in England. It is located on the highest point of the Ashridge Estate and offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

The monument was designed by the architect Jeffry Wyatt and is built from local red brick and Bath stone. It is decorated with carvings of canal scenes, as well as coats of arms and other symbolic designs. Visitors can climb up to the top of the monument using a spiral staircase of 170 steps, which leads to a viewing platform where they can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding Chiltern Hills.
