Bedford School is a historic independent school located in the town of Bedford in Bedfordshire, England. The school was founded in 1552 by Sir William Harper and is one of the oldest public schools in the country. The main School House, which is a Grade I listed building and was designed by the renowned architect, Sir William Chambers.
Bedford School has a distinguished history and has produced many notable alumni, including the former Prime Minister, Sir Alec Douglas-Home, and the actor, Hugh Bonneville.
